
Spaghetti De’Tumis
- A fusion twist on classic spaghetti, this dish combines al dente pasta with the bold, spicy flavors of De’Tumis sambal. Perfect for those who love a little heat in their Italian favorites, it’s quick, satisfying, and full of Malaysian flair.
Ingredients:
- 250g spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons De’Tumis Sambal (any variant – Vegetarian Meal Maker Sambal or Dry Shrimp Sambal)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small onion (sliced)
- 1/2 cup prawns or chicken (optional)
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
- Grated parmesan (optional)
Instructions:
- Boil salted water in a large pot.
- Cook spaghetti until al dente and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
- Drain the spaghetti and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add garlic and onions, sauté until fragrant.
- Add De’Tumis Sambal and stir-fry until aromatic.
- Add prawns or chicken and cook until fully done (optional).
- Add cooked spaghetti into the pan.
- Pour in a little reserved pasta water and toss well.
- Season with salt and black pepper, then serve and garnish if desired.
